Born and raised in Alexandria Virginia and a proud product of the Alexandria public school system. Steve is a retired United States Marine and Telecommunications manager with an extensive background on network and programming platforms. He is a member of the Social Responsibility Group (SRG) and holds the title of The Sergeant at Arms.
He is the husband of Darnella McGuire-Nelson and they have five children and one grand-son.
Steve loves his dear city, and wants the playing field to be level for all people especially the underserved and the disenfranchised who still calls Alexandria home. His Mother always said “Keep an extra blessing in your pocket because somebody may need to borrow one.”
