Percy White III

Born the son and grandson of sharecroppers, Percy White III is the founder and developer of FindFamilyRoots.com, an African American History and Genealogy website. His work includes 20 years of research regarding people, places, and events in African American history and culture. He also serves as the website's Historian and Genealogist. Mr. White shares his findings with the public through his website and presentations.

Several of his photos were also included in a Lifetime Network documentary about actor and R&B recording artist Aaliyah Haughton. Mr. White’s audio recordings through Story Corps telling of his father’s work as a sharecropper were broadcast on National Public Radio (NPR) and added to the digital collection of human voice interviews housed at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
In addition, Mr. White has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Juvenile Justice helping youth and families improve their lives. He is also a cofounder of the Social Responsibility Group (SRG).
